Blakey photo tribute
Monday December 10th 2001, Author: Christian Fevrier, Location: United Kingdom
In the fall of 1999, Sir Peter Blake was working on a film for the NZ Tourism Board, showing many of the most gorgeous parts of his country. He really loved New Zealand, knew the most remote places and was an enthusiastic narrator all the time.
Between a trip in the rainy Milford Sound and the strange sand dunes of Hokianga in the north Island, we had little time for a rest. We celebrated his birthday anniversary with Pippa and the kids in the beautiful cottage of Tony Bouzaid, in Great Barrier Island. Tony, brother of famous Kiwi yachtsman Chris, and a great nature lover, has already planted thousands of Kauri trees in the island.
