Stainless steel blocks

Harken’s new stainless steel block line is a product of engineering experience focused on performance blocks and refined aesthetic detail. They feature hand-polished stainless sideplates, but the secret to the strength and performance of this new line lies inside the sheave and bearing system - low-friction composite sleeve bearings handle extreme loads and ball bearing to control side loads.

“We are very excited to be able to offer a modern all stainless steel highly polished block line to our customers,” said OEM Sales Manager, Tripp Estabrook. These blocks feature the same bearing design elements we developed for America’s Cup boats and Megayachts where hardware must perform flawlessly under extremely high-load conditions. The sideplates look like they were designed for a jewelry store. We’re very excited about this line.”

Block details include low-profile screw adapters and stainless-on-stainless construction for easy service. Sheaves on the footblocks can be removed without unbolting the block from the deck. The blocks with headposts feature a lockoff, which allows the sailor to either orientate the block in 90-degree increments or release to allow the block to swivel freely.

Prices start from £350.
