Harken’s latest edition to the popular line of captive ball (CB) and roller bearing (CRX) travelers is the Small Boat CB Traveler Cars. Machined from one-piece of solid aluminum, these compact, lightweight cars are built to handle very high loads in a compact construction. They are perfect for mainsheets and genoa leads on large dinghies, keelboats, beach cats and offshore boats to 27’ (8 m).

“Our Small Boat CB Cars represent a huge step forward in traveler technology,” said Olaf Harken, company vice president. “ One of the biggest engineering breakthroughs in our new traveler line was to make the ball bearings captive. Now it’s possible to roll cars on and off the track without using a ball loader. I’m happy to say lost ball bearings are a thing of the past!”

Other important features include stainless steel wire guides so ball bearings transition smoothly from the active to return race and open car sides to reduce weight and expose balls for quick cleaning.

Toggle cars have low pivot points for efficient load transfer and let you fasten mainsheet and control blocks directly to the block swivel post. Ti-Lite CB Traveler cars combined with Carbo Ti-Lite blocks provide the ultimate lightweight, low profile system.
