Having set sail with a few bumps and bruises getting out of the Rade de Brest yesterday afternoon, so yesterday afternoon the Solitaire du Figaro fleet passed through the Chenal de Four. Overnight they crossed the Channel and rounded Wolf Rock, where the order was -

1 - Thomas Rouxel (Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne)
2 - Armel Le Cléac'h (Brit Air)
3 - Adrien Hardy (Agir Recouvrement)
4 - Erwan Tabarly (Nacarat)
5 - Nicolas Lunven (Generali)

Le Cleac'h, who won the first two legs of this race was only 0.2m astern of Rouxel and is decidedly looking the class act of this year's Solitaire.

Conditions overnight haven't been pleasant as a front has been passing through bringing with it rain and squalls from the WSW and large waves rolling in from the Atlantic.

Over the course of today, the competitors will be playing the shifts as the wind is forecast to veer into the NNW before settling back into the northwest, making for a nice beat up to the turning mark at the Fastnet Rock.

We are pleased to see that Sebastien Josse is back in his stride having had a 'difficult' first couple of legs. With the 'bizuths', once again Francisco Lobato, the Portugese former Mini sailor is leading the charge in 14th place.
