It's gone Paignton!

I'm afraid its all gone totally Paignton!

In true 2003 tradition the wind failed to deliver. After three attempts at starting in a shifting breeze the fleet eventually got away only for the wind to disappear half way up the first beat. The race was abandoned as no boat reached the first windward mark within the thirty minute time limit.

The wind didn't settle for the rest of the day and eventually racing was postponed until tomorrow.

It seems that the weather forecasters are just as bad down under as they are up north. The promise of 37 degrees and sunshine turned out to be slightly off the mark! Typically British cloud and rain topped off a less than marvellous day in Adelaide. Clearly it will be left for the beer tonight to make things better.
