Hold up

Steve Fossett has just advised that the early Monday morning arrival of Cheyenne at the finish line of her attempt on the round the world record might not be so early after all - they have just encountered an old frontal boundary (Sunday afternoon in the Bay of Biscay) and what might be called a 'micro-depression'. As a result they are currently only making 6-8 knots across the water.
"Light winds (and fog) are expected for a number of hours, so it will not be an early morning finish," commented Fossett. "Presumably it will still be a daytime finish but real estimates cannot be given until we get through this area."
