Number six

Day one of the Fecamp Grand Prix for the 60ft trimaran saw yet another dismasting in the fleet. This time it was the turn of Franck Cammas'
Groupama to lose her mast, bringing the tally of spar droppings up to six - almost half the fleet - this year alone.
It was around 1430 local time when the green and white trimaran lost her mast. At the time she was sailing under full main and staysail in around 20 knots of wind with winnd against tide. At present it is unclear why the dismasting occurred.
