Caudrelier leads, Wardley struck down again - an update from leg three of the Solitaire du Figaro

The latest positions show the front runners having rounded the mark off La Coruna and how are sailing eastwards along the north coast of Spain heading for the finish line of leg three of the Solitaire du Figaro at Gijon just 90 miles away.

Overnight Charles Caudrelier has regained the lead from Yann Elies. At present the wind is around 15 knots but patchy from the south. The competitor can expect to see the wind veering to the northwest over the course of the day.

At 0530 this morning Liz Wardley reported that she had dismasted - this is the second time this has happened to her in as many legs. Wardley is okay, but presumably wondering what the hell is wrong with her rig.
