Gill introduce their new Race collection

Two years ago, the Gill R&D team were given a simple brief - to design the best lightweight race gear for sailing, with specific emphasis on hot and sunny conditions.

The most detailed research project ever undertaken by the Gill team was put in place. Meetings were held with teams at the top of the game, from TP52 to Laser SB3 crews, to committed weekend warriors.

Members of the Gill Race Team were consulted on their ideal wish list for a collection of specific racing gear. The result is the most innovative, highest performing race gear available today, and even includes the lightest performance sailing jacket ever made.

The Gill Race Collection consists of 13 products, categorised into three main sections:
1 Lightweight Waterproof
2 Softshell
3 Next to Skin (T Shirts, Shorts & Accessories)

Each product has earned its place in the collection, and the same attention to detail has been paid to each piece. All styles are extremely breathable, lightweight and have a UV protection factor of 50+ - the best there is.

Highlights include:
- Race Jacket - more than 15% lighter than any comparable product in the market place today
- Race ¾ Tights - a design-first, incorporating a foam pad to protect against painful chaffing on the rail
