VIDEO: Newer kids on the block

At times our job is a tough one at thedailysail....on Monday we were privileged to be in Palma, sailing the practice race for the GP42s at Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre on board the new Farr design
Near Miss, owned by Swiss banker Franck Noël. On board were a rock star cast of mostly French crew with America's Cup and match racing legend Bertrand Pace helming, former Team New Zealand head, design guru Tom Schnackenberg navigating with Tanguy Cariou (ex-Areva Challenge, Groupama) calling tactics and even the unlikely figure of former ORMA 60 trimaran skipper Karine Fauconnier on pit/mid-bow.
This race only just about took place since around two hours out from the start the rig was out of the boat as the forestay was being replaced with a more 'robust' one.
In this first clip Near Miss joins in with the practice start...See this here
In this longer second clip see us demolish the opposition in the practice race itself. See this here.
