The greatest keel boat racing on earth
Sunday August 6th 2006, Author: James Boyd, Location: none selected

After an extremely long and arduous time waiting around on the water for the wind to settle down, finally racing got underway for the TP 52s late in the afternoon on Friday at the Copa del Rey. In this video we see the size of the fleet - 20 boats - and how even some of the best teams such as Bribon and Mean Machine can occassionally find themselves down the pan. The race was led from start to finish by Eamon Connelly's Ian Walker steered Siemens (nee Patches).
This video - click here to watch it - is 15 minutes long and is a 59MB sized Windows Media Player file. However don't let this put you off - an average speed broadband connection should enable it to download faster than it plays out. Click above, sit back and let Windows Media Player do the rest...
NB: While this is a WMP file, Mac users will also be able to view the file in Quicktime Playerif they download a suitable converter (we use Flip4Mac). The only difference is that you will have to allow the file to download first before it automatically plays out.
Enjoy
