Irish Cruiser Race Association presents award at Annual Conference

Cork yachtsman Anthony O’Leary’s Antix was awarded ‘Boat Of The Year’ at the Irish Cruiser Racing Association’s (ICRA) Annual Conference in Kilkenny on Saturday afternoon.

Accepting the award, O’Leary paid tribute to his all amateur crew, which includes his sons Peter and Nicholas. O’Leary highlighted the crew’s dinghy racing backgrounds as a key factor in the many high profile wins they had in competitions in Ireland, England and Scotland this season.

O’Leary, Conor & Denise Phelan, Mark Mansfield and Colm Barrington have formed a three boat team to represent Ireland in the Rolex Commodores’ Cup in Cowes next June.
