Hamble Point Marina, the MDL Marinas owned and operated marina and boatyard, have completed the second phase of their pontoon renewal programme and maintenance dredge.
The marina has 230 berths, chandlers, a 75 ton boat hoist, bar and restaurant among
other facilities. The newly refurbished areas will allow for even better service for berth-holders as well as a more luxurious stay.
The refurbishments involved a complete change to the quay pontoon bridge, increasing its length and also replacing the bridge head to the main marina. Both of these changes were in order to ensure safe access to the pontoons at all states of the tide. Further changes included installation of a new security gate and the creation of planters around the marina which provide more greenery around the marina site.
Mike Weldon, Marina Manager at Hamble Point, is extremely pleased with the outcome of these refurbishments; "The end result is the feeling of a brand new facility. We hope that improved cosmetic features along with better safety and security facilities will provide added value for customers and an even more enjoyable stay at Hamble Point."
