Expanding the new popular series of Competitive Boathandling CD ROM Videos, Harken, teaming with North Sails and consultant Will Crump from Team Satisfaction have added videos for the 420 and Melges 24.

Based on Windows Media technology and Media Player 7, the videos offer interactive instruction and offering transcripts to crew communication as it happens as well as “pop-up” Chalk Talk notes that can be printed for further reference. No special software or operating environment is necessary for this full-size video, which runs on a CD-ROM drive.

This series takes an in-depth look at the techniques, choreography and organisation involved in many of the manoeuvres necessary for competition in one-design sailboats.

The two latest editions feature the 420 and the Melges 24.

Basic Requirements:
· Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP
· XGA monitor of resolution 1024x768 or better
· Internet Explorer 5 or 6 as default browser (can be adjusted for temporary operation of the video)
· Microsoft Windows Media Player 7 or higher (7.1 is provided with the CD for optional installation)
· At least 64MB of RAM

“Harken is very excited to offer a new technical platform where sailors can learn the crucial elements of boathandling in the competitive J/24, J/22 420 and Melges 24 classes. Will Crump and Team Satisfaction have done a phenomenal job filming, editing and packaging this product for the sailing market,” explains Bill Goggins, Harken’s Marketing Manager.
