The return of Lionheart

Ready for the America's Cup Jubilee Britain's 1980 British challenger is sitting in front of her old berth at the Royal Southern YC

Many of the original crew came down to greet her and her builder Tony Joyce was quite overwhelmed when he saw her again.Tony Robbins has organized a reunion dinner at the club for the current and original crew including Laurie Smith who helmed her in his first America's Cup campaign.

Below is a picture of a replica of the original Lionheart. Owned by the team doctor Frank Newton, the replica has been placed outside the Royal Southern Yacht Club along with the restored Lionheart for all to see the transformation
