After her victory in the Challenge Mondial Assistance race with Alain Gautier on board Foncia-Kingfisher, his 60ft trimaran, Ellen MacArthur is now focusing on her next 'project' - the IMOCA Open 60 Grand Prix in Quiberon, Brittany, in mid-June.
The Kingfisher shore team is busy preparing her Open 60 monohull Kingfisher with final finishing work on the keel and other repairs and post-Vendee modifications being completed in the GBR America's Cup Challenge base in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

The Grand Prix will serve as an excellent warm up for the EDS Atlantic Challenge, seven weeks of hard ocean racing, that kicks off from St.Malo on 1 July. During this race Kingfisher will be skippered by Australian former Whitbread and America's Cup sailor, Nick Maloney. Ellen has yet to confirm which legs she will be sailing.
