Full details of the new content email service for all The Daily Sail's readers

Dear reader,

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Content Email service to all our readers. If you did not receive a launch email from us, then please take a look at the information below and update your email address and make your selections.

There are several options available to you and below you will find a brief explanation of each.

Your email choices can be selected by logging in to the My Profile page with your password. This can be found near the top of the right hand column of the site (circled in orange on the image right). You can at any time change your selection, or your contact details, by going into this page.

Email choices:

Daily Email

This is a brief snapshot of the site over the last 24 hours (72 on Monday). It will be delivered each weekday, mid-morning UK time, and will provide you with a handy reference to all the latest content on the site.

The clever thing with the Daily Email is that you can choose to have it delivered only if one of your keywords triggers it. For example if you are only interested in Olympic sailing or Open 60s then check the appropriate boxes at the bottom of the My Profile page and you will only receive notification from us when we run stories on these subjects, thereby saving you time and preventing your in-box from swelling still further.

Breaking News

This is an infrequent one-off email which will alert you to a major breaking story; A ‘Stop-press’ delivered via email. The default setting for this is ON.

Dinghy Week

On a Thursday TheDailySail’s Dinghy Correspondent Toby Heppell will send out a weekly round up of everything dinghy: The top stories, the big threads and beefy features.

Weekend Papers

Our popular weekly PDF summary is being brought back and it now has the perfect delivery vehicle. There are three choices available to you – each delivered via email on a Friday: First the traditional PDF, set up to be printed out. Secondly an optimised PDF for PDAs and mobile phones, and finally just a plain URL linking back to the right spot on the site.

For the next couple of days you will receive the Daily Email automatically to the email address we have on file. From Thursday onwards the Daily Email, and the others, will only go out to those of you who have selected them in your My Profile page.

Should you have any feedback or comments on this please let us know here. You will find an evolving list of Email FAQs here.

A huge amount of development has gone into this new service launch and we hope that you will find it a useful and appropriate addition to your subscription.
