Tuesday April 25th 2006, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom

Award winning marine electronics manufacturer, Tacktick have launched the world’s first wireless Mast Rotation Transmitter designed to give the most accurate wind readings for racing yachts with rotating masts.

This unique wireless sensor compensates for the movement of a rotating mast to ensure that you get the most accurate apparent wind angle reading at all times. As with all Tacktick products, the Mast Rotation Transmitter is wireless and solar powered meaning simple, quick installation without the need to run wires through the deck and up the mast. The Mast Rotation Transmitter is used in conjunction with the Tacktick Wind Transmitter, Compass Transducer, Hull Transmitter and a Wireless Display.

Commenting on the launch on the new Mast Rotation Transmitter, Clive Johnson, Joint Managing Director of Tacktick said, ‘For a number of years we have been asked by customers to develop a wireless Mast Rotation Transmitter; boat owners increasingly appreciate the advantages of the wireless instrumentation that we provide.’

The Tacktick Mast Rotation Transmitter retails at £399.95 inc Vat and is available from all good marine electronics retailers.
