The Olympic Sailing Committee of US Sailing, national governing body for the sport, today announced that Gill North America is continuing in its role as “Exclusive Technical Apparel Supplier” to the US Sailing Team, the US Disabled Sailing
Team, and the US Youth World Team. Gill has developed an all-encompassing product support plan designed to meet the needs of the individual athletes and will provide its latest technical gear and other products to all team-members. Additionally, by providing extensive complements of technical apparel to the members of the US Sailing and US Disabled Sailing Teams going to Athens this summer, Gill will help the athletes perform at the highest levels against the best sailors in the world.

“Gill’s superior products enable our sailors to focus on performance,” said Olympic Sailing Committee Chairman Fred Hagedorn. “Gill not only provides great technical products, but also expert advise on dressing to win,” added Hagedorn. “This is a true partnership with the sailors providing feedback that supports Gill’s ongoing product innovation. We are excited to continue this relationship with Gill.”

Gill NA has supported the US Sailing Team since 1995. In 2001, in renewing its support as “Exclusive Technical Apparel Supplier” through 2004, Gill extended its support to include the athletes on the US Disabled Sailing Team and the US Youth World Team.

“Gill is proud to be associated with such a dedicated US Team and thankful for the opportunity to support our now Athens bound athletes,” said David Pritchard, Gill NA President. Gill’s product support plan for the Sailing Teams is designed to meet each athlete’s individual requirement. “We hope the Team members find Gill’s support helpful and effective as they strive for the Gold in Athens this summer,” Pritchard added.
