Transas Nautic, regarded as probably the world’s leading authority on navigation software for the marine leisure market will be launching a new, state-of-the-art compact marine computer system at the Schroders London International Boat Show 2004.
The innovative new Sea PC is a dedicated marine PC, combining compact and robust design with powerful performance.
Following the launch of the world renowned NaviGator system, the R&D team at Transas Nautic recognised a niche for a powerful yet flexible hardware system, on which to run a range of navigation software.
The new Sea PC features an Intel Pentium III processor, offering reliability and performance. Specifically designed for the leisure user, the robust unit features a 12v DC or 24v DC power supply, allowing for extremely low power consumption and its 4 serial COM ports allow for full instrument connectivity and flexibility for expansion.
Installation is made both practical and convenient, via an adjustable mounting flange, which allows the unit to be mounted almost anywhere. The lightweight PC also features a 64-bit Apollo Graphics controller, which offers excellent graphics processing and combined with the NaviGator software makes for an extremely high-powered navigation system.
