Everyone is invited to the Ocean Planet Bluegrass Music Party!! It is on May 14th, and will be at Christie's in Newport. Don't miss it! Some great music will be played, in spite of the fact that I'll be playing a few tunes myself...;-) Actually, I've been practicing, so watch out!

The Made in America Foundation announces that the Ocean Planet Bluegrass Festival will be held at Christie’s Restaurant located at 351 Thames in Newport, Rhode Island on 14 May 2003 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.

The Ocean Planet Bluegrass Festival will be a benefit bluegrass concert for the Made in America Foundation, which was formed to bring an American presence to the sport of world-wide shorthanded ocean racing.

The Made in America Foundation is a 501C3 non-profit organization, formed to bring a successful American presence in the sport of world-wide shorthanded ocean racing.

The Foundation is working to provide an awareness of the adventure of the international racing events for the Open 60 Class to children in U.S. classrooms and to support the global racing endeavors of Mr. Bruce Schwab, the skipper of the Open 60 class boat, Ocean Planet, who just completed a nine month circumnavigation of the world in the Around Alone Race.

For example, a significant contingent of children from the Bain Middle School in Cranston, RI received a tour and briefing of the sailing vessel Ocean Planet on 7 May 2003 at the Newport Shipyard.

The Foundation's Open 60 class boat, Ocean Planet, was designed and built by an all-American team.
