Yeoman Group to concentrate on car navigation systems

Yeoman Group has announced that it is to sell B&G, the leading marine instrument company, to concentrate on their successful strategy in rolling out mobile phone based car navigation and traffic products.

B&G instruments dominate the racing yacht market being used on most America’s Cup yachts, all last Volvo Race entries and wide numbers of high profile boats including Ellen MacArthur’s Kingfisher and Grant Dalton’s Club Med, outright winner of the non-stop Race around the World. A recent restructuring at B&G is resulting in a number of new products, including the acclaimed wireless RaceVision2 deck tactical computer, and increased profitability.

KPMG have been appointed to conduct the sale which is already attracting interest and is expected to be concluded swiftly. B&G customers can be assured of business as normal during the sale period and can look forward to further progress under new ownership.
