The Dart 18 is the most widely raced catamaran class in the UK, it also has a big international following. The GRP hulls incorporate shaped skegs instead of dagger boards and the sail doesn't use a boom, simplifying the handling.

Being less extreme than some of the newer designs, the Dart is an ideal introduction to catamaran sailing. There is plenty of support available from the enthusiastic class, which organizes extensive UK and European open circuits.
