Reader's Pixels 2006 part two

In the second installment we have the shortlist for the Scenic prize

And the Scenic division winner is Shaun Jackson from Australia

SJ: I took this photo at the Grand Prix event in Trapani, Sicily. I was in Europe on a seed conference and found on your web site that the regatta was happening so I flew specially to Sicily. Although my work is in the seed business (vegetable seed ) my passion is sailing and Particularly the Open 60 trimaran’s which prior to this I had not seen in the flesh. Although I was simply a tourist I managed to talk my way onto the press boat, due to the marvelous hospitality of the French. I spent $1600 Euro on a Cannon Digital Camera to get this and several other great shots and it was worth it.

Shaun comes third in the overall competition and wins a Harken sailing bag. The runners up who are all on the following pages receive sought after DailySail woolly hats.
