On the 26th and 27th of June the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham-on-Crouch will be hosting RYA East Zone Junior Championship and summer regatta.

The RCYC, in association with the RYA, are delighted to be holding this prestigious event, which attracts young sailors from all over the region.

Competitors will be sailing in dinghy classes Optimist, Cadet, Laser 4.7, Mirror and handicap class. All competitors will be aged 17 or under with competitors as young a 7 years old taking part.

A six race series will take place in the River Crouch over the 2 day regatta, the first race being planned for 11am on Saturday 26th June.

Over 150 junior competitors are expected to enjoy the hospitality of the host club, which includes a hog roast and band on Saturday evening as well as the race series.

The event is also part of a qualifying series for selection for the East Zone sailing squad.
