The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at Burnham hosted its sister Club from Cowes for the annual team race, competing in Dragons for the Clifford Cup, last weekend 24-25 April.

Rear-Commodore Paul Noonan was Race Officer, seeking out the wind and managing four short races in the light airs and brilliant sunshine on the Saturday.

The Burnham Team was in a commanding position when the teams and supporters enjoyed an excellent dinner on Saturday evening and their win was confirmed after a further race on the Sunday in failing winds and a strengthening tide.

Robert Campbell, the Burnham Team Captain, accepted the impressive piece of silverware and Peter Morton, the Vice-Commodore, promised vengeance in Cowes next year.

Results:
Burnham 25 points Cowes 51 points
Martin Makey 6 Peter Morton 13
Rob Campbell 8 Andy Cassell 16
Mike Holmes 11 Mike Till 22
