Hull of the new Rambler emerges from New England Boatworks

While Jim Clark's new VPLP-Verdier 100ft maxi is in the final stages of construction up in Maine, down at New England Boatworks in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the hull of George David's Juan K-designed 88 footer has emerged, fresh from her mould.

This advanced composites carbon pre preg race boat is cored with Kevlar honeycomb and built in a female carbon tool created from a fully machined hull tool.

The boat is due for launch this autumn.
