Banque Populaire speeds away

After one false start, Armel Le Cléac'h set off on Banque Populaire VII (ex-Groupama III) on an attempt on the singlehanded Transmed record between Marseille and Carthage, Tunisia.
The giant 105ft trimaran crossed the line at 05:02:57 French time this morning.
The current record of 25h 38min and 36s was set by Thomas Coville on Sodebo in September 2012.
