Groupe Bel dismasts

But skipper Kito de Pavant is okay in the IMOCA's Europa Warm Up

The technical team of Groupe Bel contacted the Race amangement for the Europa Warm’Up Race at 1056 UTC today to advise them that their boat has dismasted. Skipper, Kito de Pavant is fine, is not injured and has not requested assistance.

The boat was sailing in 20-25kts of southwesterly wind and waves of 2.5m and is now heading for the port of Ponta Delgada on the Azores island of Sao Miguel, about 50 miles from where the incident happened.
