EBay sponsorship
Following on from drug-free urine, raccoon's penis bones, the Internet, nine used toothbrushes, dirt from the US civil War, a UFO Finder, a Russian submarine and so forth, so ever pioneering Marco Nannini is offering sponsorship of his Class 40 in August's Rolex Fastnet Race to the highest bidder via an auction on EBay.
The winning bid will be able to choose the race name of the boat during the Rolex Fastnet Race, which starts from Cowes on 14 August .
At present there are 31 Class 40 boats on the official entry list so the start at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes will be an impressive show, and with a total of 350 entries this is set to be the biggest ever offshore race taking place in UK waters offering a very interesting media return.
Bidding starts at 2,000 Euros. The price includes the cost of the hull logos and photos of the logoed boat for your promotional needs.
