3D virtual tour of Michel Desjoyeaux's new Foncia

Fly through the interior and around the exterior of the latest IMOCA 60

To help with the design of the new Foncia, Michel Desjoyeaux developed a technological partnership with Dassault Systèmes, the world leader in design and simulation 3D solutions. From this collaboration was born one IMOCA 60. One result of this is a 3D virtual tour of the double Vendee Globe winners new VPLP-Verdier design, with the objective of making it possible for any many people as possible to discover the new Foncia which is soon to compete in the Route du Rhum and the Barcelona World Race, respectively on 31 October and 31 December 31. Those taking the tour over the internet can fly around the exterior of the boat but can also tour Foncia's interior.

"These visits, which until now have been reserved for the privileged few, are now possible for all," says Michel Desjoyeaux. "I realised how  interactive 3D leads way in new forms of communication."
