Frustrating times on board
Geronimo who may be across the Equator but who covered just 225 miles yesterday (even the Poles on their Volvo 60 to the south covered more). The upshot of this is that the relative position of Steve Fossett's
Cheyenne at the same point has now overtaken
Geronimo.
We suspect Olivier de Kersauson will be wondering if he should do an about turn and come home as looking ahead the location of the South Atlantic high pressure system is both further south and further west than is ideal for an eastabout round the world attempt.
