Tripon wins leg two

Transgascogne singlehanded race for the Mini concludes in Port Bourgenay

The Transgascogne race for the Minis has seen the bulk of the fleet arrive in Port Bourgenay at the end of the second leg from Gijon in northern Spain.

Between midnight and 1am the first three arrivals were Armel Tripon on Moulin Roti, leg one winner Jonathan McKee on Team McLube and Eskil Degsell on Classic.

Over the course of the race establishing the positions of the boat has been vague - relying on the skippers to call in. Once again last night it appeared that British sailor Nick Bubb was leading (whereas he was the leading boat to radio in). Nick in fact finished in eighth place, but, reassuringly ahead the designer of his boat - two time Mini Transat winner Seb Magnen.
