Line up for the Generali

The 14th running of the Generali Méditerranée singlehanded race for the Figaro class will kick off on 13 June this year, part of the Figaro's annual championship.
This event follows on from the Tour de Bretagne and will be the first event to be raced singlehanded in the new generation Figaro Beneteau II boats.
The course this year has been lengthened aside from starting in Marseilles sails along the Cote d'Azur eastwards as far as Italy, with four stopovers en route before returning to the Porquerolles islands off Hyeres. In each of the stopovers there will be round the cans racing for the singlehanders.
Among the entries this year will be Jérémie Beyou on board Delta Gilds who returns to defend his title in the event along with Yann Eliès on Group Generali Assurances, winner in 2001.
Other notables include Charles Caudrelier-Bénac on Bostik Findley, Solitaire du Figaro winner Eric Drouglazet on David Olivier, Gildas Morvan on Green Circle, Armel Cléac'h on Créaline and meteorologist Gilles Chiorri.
Several of the first timers from last year are also returning including Jeanne Gregoire on AG2R Precaution, Thierry Chabagny on Small Ship Good Taste Broad, Gwénaël Riou on Hope Agricultural credit and Arnaud Boissières
Also taking part for the first time are Romain Troublé, Yves Blévec, Samantha Davies, Marc Emig, Corrado Agusta on Sector, Sander Bakker and Christopher Pratt.
In addition Vendee Globe competition Marc Thiercelin and Whitbread sailor Lionel Péan will also be taking part.
