Is it slow - yes or no?

Knut Frostad's djuice powering through the Southern Ocean
When djuice arrived in Auckland to finish leg three in sixth place they were effectively last - SEB had lost their rudder and Lisa McDonald's team had stopped in Hobart for 24 hours to repair their rudder.
Though the Frostad does not think they have an unresolvable speed problem he does believe there have been decision making problems in the tactical department. "We worked a lot on the strategy side and decision making in the team when we came ashore here in Auckland," explained Frostad.
One of the main mistakes the team made during leg three was on a decision to gybe too late. This saw the leaders sail ahead to an unretrievable lead, leaving djuice stranded. Frostad was cagey on revealing what had happened on board when this tactical decision was made. "I think we want to keep it as we have it for the weather part of it, and then use the tacticians more for boat on boat tactics - so whatever you can derive from that," said an evasive Frostad. Perhaps hinting there was a crossover between the tactical and navigational departments which resulted in the tactical error.
Though the team frequently made changes to their crew list, and have admitted to speed problems in certain wind ranges, the ever optimistic skipper does not feel the race is over. "I think we can climb back into it," said Frostad. "We just have to take it leg by leg, not taking any notice of the overall result, we don't even want to look at the overall results! Anything can happen in this race, there have been two broken rudders, illbruck finished fourth [off the podium], no one can predict it - that's what's interesting for us."
Many focused on the team's poor performance after legs one and two, however Frostad was quick to point out they were not the only ones under-performing. "When we left Sydney we were equal with ASSA ABLOY, and now just because of one leg, no one asks them any probing questions."
The question is - can they really retrieve this race and climb into an overall podium finish...
