Roman Paszke's team on board the Volvo Ocean 60 Bank BPH continue to head southeast in the Southern Ocean as they approach the latitude of the Cape of Good Hope. As they are looking for stronger winds they course is considerably further south than the multihulls that have passed through these waters recently. At around this longitude for example Cheyenne was at 42degS rather than 47.5degS. While this will reduce the distance the Polish crew have to sail it will also increase the chances of them encountering ice.
