Francis Joyon has today announced that the start to his attempt on the singlehanded non-stop around the world record on board his maxi-trimaran
IDEC, has turned 'code orange' (or amber we suppose) meaning that he will set sail in the next 48 hours.
"There is a weather window I have been studying since yesterday that should open on Friday afternoon," commented Joyon.
It is planned that his maxi-trimaran will set sail from her home port of La Trinite-sur-Mer on Thursday night/Friday morning, to be on station for departure from the Ouessant-Lizard start line in the optimum conditions.
