Charity knees up in Milwaukee CSC

Tim Kent honoured as Wisconsin's Sailor of the Year - with details of how you support the gala evening

Wednesday February 11th 2004, Author: Media, Location: United States
On behalf of the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, we are pleased to announce the selection of Wisconsin's Tim Kent as the 2004 Sailor of the Year.

This is the Tenth Anniversary of the MCSC Sailor's Ball. Each year a person is named for the prestigious honor of Sailor of the Year for their contributions to sailing. Past honorees include Gary Jobson, Buddy Melges, Dawn Riley, Peter and Olaf Harken, Peter Barrett, Bill Pinckney and last year's honoree, Jerri Sullivan.

This year's winner received the unanimous approval of the committee. Tim Kent's successful campaign in the 28,900 mile Around Alone race is an adventure incomprehensible even by most accomplished sailors.

We ask you to join us at this year's Tenth Anniversary Sailor's Ball to honor fellow sailor Tim Kent. This event, a benefit for the not-for-profit MCSC, will include wonderful food, live music, dancing, drink, a silent auction, and of course the presentation of the Sailor of the Year award to Tim. The date is Saturday March 6th at the Italian Community Center in downtown Milwaukee.

Seating is limited. Please call the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center at 414-27709094 or e-mail them through their website at www.sailingcenter.org.

Admiral's Club and special reception with Tim - $125/person 5:30 - 11:00 pm
Regular Admission - $75/person 6:30 - 11:00 pm
