A little less than 48 hours into the Transat AG2R and almost 50 miles separate the first and last boats, although the first 16 boats are separated by less than 10 miles.

The latest positions show that Pascal Bidegorry and Sidney Gavignet aboard Banque Populaire continue to hang on to their lead, but last year's Solitaire du Figaro winner Armel Le Cleac'h has moved up to second, with Jeanne Gregoire and Sam Davies holding 11th, but just four miles behind.

This morning the centre of the high pressure system has passed over the fleet, but over the course of this afternoon the breeze is set to build from the east. The wind over tonight and tomorrow will back to the northeast at around 10-15 knots, allowing the boats a good run around Cape Finistere. At present the majority of the fleet - particularly the lead boats are to the south of the rhum line.
