Green Team in the UK

Endeavour Quay is a hive of industry to get Irish Volvo Ocean Race boat sailing

Green Team, the Ian Walker-skippered Irish entry in the Volvo Ocean Race, arrived in the UK weekend before last after being shipped from her builder, McConaghys in China. Despite this work seems to be well progressed on the round the world race's sole Reichel-Pugh design, with much of the internal fit-out having been completed in China prior to shipping. A small army is currently working on the boat in the shed at Endeavour Quay (formerly Camper & Nicholsons) in Gosport, where Team Russia is also currently based.

Team Green will be sailing by the end of the month and prior to this a sponsor and crew announcement is anticipated.
