Marine clothing company Henri Lloyd and Bernard Stamm have announced their official partnership. Stamm will compete in the next Vendée Globe at the helm of his Open 60 Cheminées Poujoulat, on 9 November 2008, clad in Henri Lloyd’s latest Ocean & Offshore technical ranges.

Henri Lloyd has over 40 years experience in the manufacture of technical marine clothing, and prides themselves on their innovative designs and use of pioneering fabrics. Bernard Stamm and Henri Lloyd will be working closely together to continue the joint development of the Henri Lloyd Ocean & Offshore range over the next few years, which in turn will benefit future Henri Lloyd customers.

“We are delighted to announce our association with Bernard, as a company we have followed his progress closely since throughout his sailing career, including his amazing victories in the Velux 5 Oceans Race” explains Paul Strzelecki, Joint Chief Executive at Henri Lloyd. “Bernard is an inspiration to the sailing world and to Henri Lloyd and we are very excited about our future together”.

For Stamm, this partnership is a ‘natural’ progression as the IMOCA World Champion has already circumnavigated the globe with Henri Lloyd. “I’ve done all my round the world races with Henri Lloyd. As a result I’m delighted to have them alongside and it certainly won’t be a difficult job to promote the habits I already have, as I’m convinced they’re the best," said Stamm. "The Vendée Globe is a superb benchmark and all the experiences are enriching when it’s a question of moving forward, even though I believe Henri Lloyd is already top drawer.”
