Volvo Ocean Race's Qingdao in port race postponed due to thick fog

The Volvo Ocean Race's in-port races supposed to have been held today in Qingdao, China were postponed, as deep fog descended on the race track. With little wind to speak of, it the Race Committee officially abandoned racing for the day 1610 local time (0810 GMT).

Although the weather forecast is for little improvement, the third in-port race in the Volvo Ocean Race has been rescheduled for tomorrow, replacing the scheduled Pro-Am race day.
