Wednesday December 9th 2009, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom
A week into her pit stop in Port-La-Forêt, the SolOceans One-design skippered by Liz Wardley was relaunched this morning. This afternoon there will be a sailing session dedicated to restarting the scientific equipment on board.

On Thursday and Friday, the boat will go sailing once again to ensure that the repairwork is sound before heading towards the Southern Hemisphere. Liz Wardley will resume her circumnavigation on the Around-the-world Reference Tour of the SolOceans - OceanoScientific® Campaign 2009-2010 on Saturday 12 December at 1200GMT.

She will cross the start line by the Linuen Buoy, outside the Bay of Concarneau. A moderate ENE breeze is forecast, propelling Wardley quickly from the Bay of Biscay.
