Audio from the Rolex Fastnet Race

Ray Davies (ICAP Leopard) and Gavin Brady (Beau Geste) look back at their races

Wednesday August 12th 2009, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom

The big boats in the Rolex Fastnet Race have been ghosting into Sutton Harbour, Plymouth all day. In the wee hours of this morning we caught up with Emirates Team New Zealand afterguard Ray Davies (above right), who along with Hugh Agnew, provided the tactical genius on board Mike Slade's elapsed time winner, ICAP Leopard. These audio files are available for you to listen to.

Ray Davies talks about their Rolex Fastnet Race here.

Meanwhile fellow Kiwi and America's Cup helmsman, Gavin Brady (above left) is running the Beau Geste program for Hong Kong owner Karl Kwok. After only recently arriving in the UK, Brady and his crack squad have been working up this brand new Farr 80 but nonetheless put in a sound performance in their first major race. (Read more about this boat on Friday). Listen to this audio interview here.
