North Sea 1000 mile doublehanded to take place again

Lombardini return as sponsor of the race from Holland to the Shetlands via Bergen

Italian marine engine producer Lombardini Marine will again be the supporter of the most challenging race of the northernmost North Sea - the Lombardini Marine 1000 mile Doublehanded Race. Dutch importer of the engines, Kemper en Van Twist Diesel B.V. signed the deal with the even'ts race committee at the recent METS exhibition in Amsterdam.

The Lombardini Marine 1000 mile Doublehanded Race will start on Sunday 14 June 2009 from Scheveningen, the Netherlands, visiting Bergen, Norway before concluding in Lerwick in the Shetland Isles. The race is sailed on IRC and has also attracted a range of Open Class boats.
