Class 40 opener

New race to run from Les Sables d'Olonne to Madeira and back

The entry list is now open for the Class 40's race from Les Sables d'Olonne to Madeira and back. The course is 2,220 miles and will be open to Class 40s sailed by two to four crew.

The entry list has been fixed at 25 maximum for the start time of 12:02 French time on Sunday 24 June 2007. Competing boats will be required to be in Port Olona, familiar to anyone who has attended a Vendee Globe start or finish, prior to Monday 18 June at 13:30.

The race can also be used as a qualifier for this autumn's Transat Jacques Vabre.
