Ben Ainslie, Ian Walker, Jonathan ‘Boycey’ Taylor head up the Bugle / JMST cricket XI for the annual cricket tournament in Hamble this Sunday 15th July. Local pubs The Bugle, King & Queen, The Victory and Ye Olde Whyte Harte will compete for the coveted Bugle Charity Cricket Challenge Cup.

Cricket Telecom are sponsoring the event which features a full day of entertaining cricket matches, a scrumptious barbeque lunch that will be sizzling all afternoon, a bar operating throughout with plenty of thirst quenching Pimm’s and a grand prize raffle.

Venue: Playing Fields by the Roy Underdown Pavilion, Spitfire Way, Hamble. The first match starts 11.00 – final takes place mid afternoon.

Patron of the JMST, Ben Ainslie MBE, Triple Olympic Medallist (Athens 2004 – Gold – Finn; Sydney 2000 – Gold – Laser; Atlanta 1996 – Silver – Laser) and more recently, helmsman for Emirates Team New Zealand, was a friend and a 1996 Olympic team-mate of the late John Merricks. On his return to the UK from Valencia Ben is looking forward to bettering his 2005 cricket score from the same event whilst helping to raise money for the JMST.

All are invited to come along and support the teams - it's a fantastic day out for all the family.
