Phil Sharp is now on his final run into Pointe a Pitre, Guadeloupe but before he can cross the finish line he must pass down the west side of this French Caribbean island. With the line still 58 miles away his ETA is mid-afternoon. Second placed Gildas Morvan on Oyster Funds has continued to lose ground on Sharp overnight and is now 191 miles astern, compared to 152 yesterday afternoon. He is expected to arrive more than a day later!

In third place to the north Ian Munlow on Bollands Mill has been suffering overnight in light winds and has lost more than 50 miles to Sharp since yesterday afternoon. As a result his lead over the fourth placed boat - now Guillaume Voizard on Le Comptoir Immobilier, screaming up astern of him, has a reduced to just 37 miles

The forecast ahead for the next few days is light, light, light, making for one of the most drawn out conclusions to this race.

The next finisher, American Kip Stone on his Artforms Open 50 is due imminently in Pointe a Pitre.
