Friday October 20th 2006, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom

Mike Golding's Open 60 Ecover is currently race favourite for the Velux 5 Oceans. Twiddling their thumbs while awaiting Sunday's start Golding's Project Manager Graham Tourell (aka Gringo) gave thedailysail a guided tour to their Owen Clarke-designed Open 60.

In this first clip Tourell shows us the bowsprit arrangement on board and explains the sail wardrobe, which sails Golding will use when, how they are hoisted, which sails are hoisted and stay up and which sails don't.

NB: This video is formatted to play in Windows Media Player and is 31.5MB in size - therefore only suitable for those with broadband connections. Mac users can now view WMV files by downloading a suitable add on to Quicktime - we for example use Flip4Mac which works a treat. The only noticable difference is that while the clip will play out while downloading on a PC, on a Mac it must download first.
