TheDailySail employ Dinghy Journalist

Former Mirror World Champion joins the ranks at your favourite international yacht and dinghy racing website

Thursday July 14th 2005, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom
TheDailySail.com has appointed Toby Heppell to the position of Dinghy Journalist. Toby (above) fought off a strong field of applicants to join James Boyd, Andy Nicholson and the website team at TheDailySail.com on a full time basis.

Toby recently completed a degree in Digital Media at Southampton Institute which included a final project in stop-frame animation. His first major victory on the water was with Clive Goodwin in 1995, when the pair won the Mirror World Championship. He has since sailed many different classes and now helms a 49er on the UK circuit with crew Richard Herbert.

From now on, Toby will be researching, writing and generally expanding the UK and international dinghy content on thedailysail.com. His approach will be one of an active dinghy racer and he will be a key point of contact with TheDailySail for the wider dinghy racing community.

If readers have any views or suggestions regarding particular avenues we should focus on with our dinghy content, please feel free to email us here. Otherwise Toby can be contacted directly at toby@thedailysail.com
